There are lot old school beats that can be found on the internet; you just have to know how to start looking for them. Hip hop beats that feature older tracks are almost always available in every single website that sells beats. One thing you must know about old school beats is that these can run on tempos between 79bpm to 100bpm. This tempo range would allow you to choose just the right kind of beat to use for your project. Another factor that may also affect your choice of beat, whether old school or not, is the user rating for each beat listed on a certain website. There are instrumentals that have stayed on the site for a very long time without really getting that much appreciation from the users, and there are other beats who have barely lasted a day on the lists yet have already managed to gain a cult following.
Old school beats are often preferred by many artists because these beats contain some of the original themes that were common during the days when rap was still in its initial conception stage. The various old school instrumentals that you would be able to download from the internet do have, more often than not, their own price tags. Prices can range from somewhere around six dollars up to about twenty dollars or more. And to help you decide on which beat to download, you can just click on the preview buttons that are usually located on the right side of the beat’s title so you can listen to the tracks first. Once you have finally decided on a track or several tracks, you can choose to pay for them by PayPal or have it charged to your credit card. Many really sick old school beats can be purchased online with the use of a Visa, MasterCard, Delta, American Express, Solo, or Switch card.
The raps of the olden days customarily had general themes, with very little reference to hot chicks and sexual content that are now more common in raps today. Aside from old school beats, you can also choose from a variety of rap genres, such as Gangsta rap beats, R&B beats, Dirty South beats, West or East Coast instrumentals, underground beats and a whole lot more. You would also be able to record your own stuff on top of these beats so you can then create your own album or your own music video using the old school beats either as background music or as musical enhancements.
